Brayden carries an incredible shot that when released explodes off his stick. It doesn’t matter how he is positioned at the time of his release he is still able to rip it off either leg in short order. His signature shot is his wrist shot. He plays a good two way game and battles hard. A Center who will need to put on some muscle but will be an excellent pick up in the top 15 this 2023 NHL draft.
Some scouts consider Brayden to be a high-level finisher . There is no doubt he can accelerate quickly and is a very dangerous player off the rush. One thing you will find about Yager is he exemplifies consistency. The guy is all about improving his game at every opportunity. When he sees an area for improvement, he can be found working on that game. IE: faceoff circle
One thing that no one can deny about Brayden is he scores clutch goals at big times. Part of that may be how he plays. He plays a straight line and is mostly a North/South Player with a dominant style of play. He sees the ice in such a way that you can easily see his elite ability in how he sees a play unfold soon the ice. He has a knack for finding the open space, giving him prime scoring opportunities. Brayden really does have all the tools to be a well-rounded NHL centre who can impact the game in all 3 zones.
PROJECTION: A #2 Centre in the NHL, who I see as the 9th best player in this years 2023 NHL Entry draft.
