Two Guys & Hockey Talk
TWO GUYS & HOCKEY TALK is founded and hosted by Evan (REV) & Pawel (THE CAT). We originally started video podcasting 1-hour pre-recorded shows on YouTube just for the enjoyment of discussing hockey when the Covid19 Pandemic hit Globally.
As former colleagues, Evan & Pawel loved to chat about hockey around the water cooler or whenever they got a chance. The aim was to share thoughts, and through trial and error, TWO GUYS & HOCKEY TALK evolved into a phenomenal program that they were proud of. Something was missing still and the evolution of TWO GUYS & HOCKEY TALK began to take on a personality of its own.

With Pawel’s desire, love & passion for the game he took on deeper research into not just a few NHL teams but Hockey Globally. Now between his deep dive research into everything around hockey and his passion still playing hockey in some capacity, he lives each day to talk and chat around even the most difficult conversations in the hockey world.

Evan grew up following, studying and playing goal in Hockey. Originally his road was to become a sports broadcaster but he married young and started his family, so things took a different turn. Still meddling and following hockey closely, Evan started tracking and following the top junior prospects around the world in 1988 and observing their common growth curve that most players had before turning pro into the NHL or other Leagues like the KHL, SHL, Liga etc.
Evan has always been fascinated with the position of Goaltending from as early as 11 years old. That interest took him into a deeper dive into the world of Hockey goaltending. He has played the position most of his life and studied it in depth both with the ‘eye test’ and with ‘analytics‘ learning how to analyze the position and play of goaltenders. Goaltending is ‘Voodoo‘ they say but Evan calls it predictable and easier to track then many think.
Evan was always active on Hockey message boards which led to his first opportunity blogging on prospects in hockey with ‘Oilers Jambalaya’ where he wrote for a few years. Later he worked with PuckRant before eventually ending up with Fox Sports writing as a scout analyst for hockey.
Dreams to Reality
Between Evan’s networking and Pawel’s Research, TWO GUYS & HOCKEY TALK became a reality. A Facebook page was created which has grown its own substantial following, hoping to become a great source for all hockey news. (If you have not as of yet, Give us a follow https://www.facebook.com/twoguyshockeytalk). Evan is also known on X as @revingev where you can dialogue with him and get his take or hear what is happening in his network circles. Pawel on behalf of TWO GUYS & HOCKEY TALK recently started up a X feed himself, which you can follow @hockey_two. In addition, Evan yearly will release his REV’S Top 15 NHL Prospects and post them for people interested in the next up and coming possible stars of the game. His list is based on how he sees the players who will be the best players throughout their careers.
In combination with what was happening, Freddie & Key over at the SPORTS EMPIRE NETWORK approached TWO GUYS & HOCKEY TALK, looking for Hockey content on their social media platforms (A great source for podcasts of almost every sport you can imagine, so give them a follow) The partnership gave TWO GUYS & HOCKEY TALK a new streaming platform to create a new ‘LIVE’ SHOW which airs weekly with real ‘LIVE’ interaction during the one-hour show. Viewers can still catch the ‘LIVE” stream afterwards from the recorded podcast show which are being watched from all around the globe (United States, Croatia, Ukraine, England, Russia, Sweden, etc., and of course Canada).
The weekly podcast hosted by Evan and Pawel, airs every Wednesday night at 7pm MST as they discuss all things hockey (NHL, AHL, KHL, CHL, NAHL, etc.) The show will often feature guests who are involved in the game of hockey at several different levels. Currently about to start Season 5, the TWO GUYS & HOCKEY TALK ‘Live show’ has seen great organic success, between our followers and viewers from all around the globe (United States, Croatia, Ukraine, England, Russia, Sweden, Australia and of course Canada).
Our newest partnership comes with JR Web Designs, who afforded TWO GUYS & HOCKEY TALK to be able to gather easy access to their social media platforms and provide a forum to watch former guests through a quick click on the new website. This also meant we would now be able to produce a BLOG for posting Hockey writings by various writers around anything on hockey in general. Currently this page is building and we are excited about what the future holds for these writers. With our partnership with JR Web Designs, Jeff has provided us with a venue that truly has transformed the TWO GUYS & HOCKEY TALK brand.
Also keep your eye out on our social media platforms as Pawel, Evan and other regular guests of the show will get out to different hockey arenas (IE: Edmonton’s Rogers Place, Calgary’s Saddledome, Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, Las Vegas Mobile Arena, Winnipeg’s Canada Life Centre and even Ottawa’s Canadian Tire Centre ..etc.) They will often share their experience of the game and sometimes even interview people at the games to get their perspective and insights. Those videos and postings will be on Facebook and occasional on other platforms like X & YouTube.
Since the inception of TWO GUYS & HOCKEY TALK, we have filmed over 130 episodes (all available online) and are currently starting Season 5 September 6th, 2023. The Brand is garnering thousands of views for each Show, across social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook & X).
