Fans are looking for anything to deal with their hockey fever and for every fever , their requires medicine to counteract the fever, so the person can live comfortable until the fever subsides. OK, maybe that’s a bit extreme but not for some of you. Recently I just got away and out of my home province to enjoy some good times on the water NOT the ice. However, when that fever is just so intense and you need to cool it down what can you do to subside the fever? So here are some ideas to fight the fever of hockey.
- Well , you can try like me to just take a vacation and get away from everything. Remove the wifi, spend less time on TWITTER (Ok its called X now but that will be discussed on our first episode of TWO GUYS & HOCKEY TALK on September 6th at 7pm) Be sure to join us that evening
- You can do the obvious and follow (THE CAT) & Myself (REV) on X (formerly known as TWITTER) and check out our latest articles from our writers if you have not already at twoguysandhockeytalk.com . While your at it if you have not subscribed check out and Subscribe to us on YouTube and or follow and LIKE us on Facebook where we regularly keep updated on things across the hockey world globally and at every level of hockey and anywhere.
- Plan now the games you have discussed going to watch LIVE in your local area with anything from your pro team to the local minor hockey or jr hockey of any level.
- Plan a scheduled Hockey trip in advance with a local sports agency that takes groups or make something work yourself with friends.
- Book your Fav Pro teams games in your calendar in advance that you want to be able to watch this upcoming season.
- With so many AM Radio sports shows (Hockey in particular) shutting down in Canada and some American Cities (Not sure in European countries), plan to get onto social media and find the times and dates to follow some of your fav hockey content.
- Click on YouTube and/or Vimeo to pull up some of your fav hockey games and rewatch.
- Get out for an old fashioned game of Street Hockey with other hockey folks or just volunteer to play goal for the local kids in your community playing street hockey. Growing up, we played street hockey most when end of May through August hit.
- Start collecting hockey cards and/or build your own memorabilia.
- Start checking out all the hockey stores to see what items they may have for hockey equipment and/or check out used stores or things like Marketplace on Facebook (META) to see what may be just what your looking for
Well, hopefully that gives you a few ideas of things to do to settle that fever that is starting. You never know, one of those ideas may just be the treatment you needed. In the meantime and in between time ‘Keep your stick on the ice!’
Keep on Keeping on!
